Job Overview:

As a Junior Visual Designer &Design Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in crafting visual narratives that resonate and conducting design research that informs our strategies,ensuring that our campaigns are both visually stunning and deeply impactful.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visual Design: Create compelling visuals for campaigns that drive engagement and align with our mission.
• Design Research: Conduct research to understand design trends, audience preferences, and cultural nuances, ensuring our visual narratives are informed and effective.
• Collaborative Design: Work closely with the campaign and content teams to develop cohesive design strategies that amplify your campaigns.
• Feedback Integration: Take in feedback from various teams and stakeholders, iterating designs to achieve the desired impact.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs align with Forward Impact's brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent visual identity across all campaigns.
• Tool Proficiency: Stay updated with the latest design tools, software, and methodologies to bring efficiency and innovation to the design process.
• Reporting & Insights: Share insights from design research with the broader team, helping shape future campaign strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in visual design and design research, preferably in the social impact or non-profit sector.
• Proficiency in design software like Adobe Creative Suite, Coral Draw, Sketch, Figma, or equivalents.
• Strong portfolio showcasing both visual design prowess and design research methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to present design decisions and research findings effectively.
• A keen understanding of the social impact landscape and the nuances of campaigns and movement building.
